FG Knot

The FG Knot is a lesser known line-to-line knot that has developed a cult following amongst avid anglers that care greatly about knot strength. It is known for being a superb bend knot for maintaining a thin diameter profile, which allows for longer and more accurate casts without the knot getting in the way of fishing rod guides. On the other hand, it is also know to be particularly difficult to tie, and many anglers opt to use it only when they have ample preparation time and will go with classics bend knots such as the Uni-to-Uni Knot when out on the water.
