Improved Albright Knot

The Improved Albright Knot is a stronger version of the Albright Knot that some anglers find easier to tie. This bend knot is used for joining two lines together, and can be used to tie two lines of varying diameters. To tie the Improved Albright Knot, start tying the Albright Knot by passing the leader through a loop in the main line, followed by multiple wraps around the main line. The improvement comes in continuing to make wraps with the leader around both the loop formed by the main line, and the leader itself. After that, the knot is moistened, cinched down, and trimmed for extra line breaking strength.
