Turle Knot

Also known as the Major Turle's Knot.

The Turle Knot hast a long, storied history and dates back to the 19th century. It has wide applications in freshwater fishing scenarios for fly anglers working rivers and streams while targeting salmon, steelhead, and the like. It can be useful on both lighter and heavier types of line such as monofilament lines, and has the advantage of allowing for the line to sit at an obtuse angle from the hook to impart and allow for more action on the lure.
