Spider Hitch

Despite its name, the Spider Hitch is actually a knot designed to form a loop or a doubled line for line-to-line connections. It is easy to tie as its main knotting mechanism is essentially a basic overhand knot, and also offers flexibility to the angler in the choice of the number of wraps to make the knot more secure. This knot finds uses in various saltwater applications, such as anglers rigging up to catch sharks or tarpon.
