Rapala Knot

As its name suggests, the Rapala Knot is primarily used for tying fishing line directly to lures, such as those made by the Rapala company. However, it’s designed to be tied with an open loop at the end of the knot, which isn’t tightened against the terminal tackle and allows for more natural lure action and movement. Thus, the Rapala Knot can be considered a specialty knot for specific types of bait presentations that require specific types of action in order to be effective.
