Carrick Loop

Also known as the Carrick Bend Loop.

The Carrick Loop is one of the most aesthetically pleasing knots around. It is a loop knot that is formed at the end of a line by using a Carrick Bend, which is a bend knot typically employed in sailing. The knot used to form the loop has a symmetric and interwoven structure that has a distinct look seemingly steeped in the tradition of basket weaving, or classic maritime styles.
